B.M.S. College of Engineering (BMSCE), founded in 1946 by B. M. Sreenivasaiah, was the first private engineering college in India. It is a grant-in-aid autonomous college affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, located on Bull Temple Road in Basavanagudi, central-south Bengaluru. It offers 13 B.E. branches along with PG and doctoral programmes and is one of the most competitive colleges in KCET and COMEDK counselling. BMSCE was in the 151-200 band of the NIRF 2025 Engineering ranking. Its NIRF 2026 submission reports 972 of 1,291 B.E. graduates placed in 2024-25 at a median salary of INR 10 LPA.

Figure shown is the COMEDK 2026-27 tuition fee (INR 3,02,000 per year, same for all branches) from the official COMEDK fee/seat document. The college's own site publishes the approved management-quota fee for 2026-27, which is much higher and varies by branch (CSE INR 15 lakh per year). KCET government-quota fee is fixed by the state and is much lower. University/exam/other fees and hostel are extra.
