Chitkara University
Chitkara University, Punjab is a private university on the Chandigarh-Patiala National Highway near Rajpura, about 30 km from Chandigarh. It grew out of the Chitkara Educational Trust, which has run institutes in the region since 2002, and became a state private university in 2010. The Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology offers B.E. programs with a strong computer science focus, many industry-linked specialisations and a residential campus. A sister university operates in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. In NIRF 2025 it ranked 89 in Engineering and 78 among universities. Admission to B.E. requires a valid JEE Main score along with Class XII marks.

Official 2025 admission procedure, B.E. CSE (Punjab campus): Sem I INR 1,30,000 + 20,000 ETS; Sem II INR 1,50,000 + 20,000 CAS; Sem III-IV INR 1,50,000 each; Sem V-VIII INR 1,65,000 each.
