Lovely Professional University (LPU)
Lovely Professional University is a private university on the Jalandhar-Delhi GT Road at Phagwara, Punjab, established in 2005 by the Lovely Group. Its very large residential campus, roughly 600 acres, hosts one of the biggest single-campus student populations in India, including many international students. The School of Computer Science and Engineering and other engineering schools offer a wide range of B.Tech programs and specialisations, with heavy emphasis on computing. In NIRF 2025 LPU ranked 48 in Engineering and 31 among universities. Admission is through its own LPUNEST test, JEE Main or CUET, and scholarships linked to these scores substantially reduce the listed fee for many students.
