Islamic Azad University, Tehran Medical Branch

The Tehran Medical Branch of Islamic Azad University is part of Iran's large private (non-governmental) Azad university system and teaches medicine in Tehran.

Indicative tuition is USD 3,500–6,000 per year. Because it is a private branch, check carefully that an English-medium batch exists, that the branch is listed in WDOMS, and that the programme meets NMC FMGL conditions before admission.

Medicine for international students is taught in English. Iranian universities offer the Doctor of Medicine (M.D., about 7 years) and, at some universities, an MBBS (about 5.5–6 years), both including clinical training and internship.
