Shri B. M. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is the medical college of BLDE (Deemed to be University) on Solapur Road, Vijayapura (Bijapur), Karnataka, established in 1986. It admits 150 MBBS students a year and its seats are filled through MCC deemed-university counselling.

MBBS in India follows the National Medical Commission's Competency Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum: 4.5 years of study plus a 1-year Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI).

• Counselling: deemed universities and All India Quota seats are filled through MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) counselling; state quota and most private college seats through the state counselling authority.
• Quotas: government/state quota, management quota and NRI quota, each with different fees.
• Eligibility: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, with the NMC minimum marks; at least 17 years old by 31 December of the admission year.
• Documents: NEET scorecard and admit card, Class 10 and 12 mark sheets, domicile/category certificates where applicable, ID proof, photographs.
