MH Samorita Hospital & Medical College, Dhaka started its journey in 2010 with the permission from the MOH&FW of Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh & Universities of Dhaka. All praise is for Allah. MH samorita Medical College and Dental Unit have taken steps to fulfill this gap and aspiration of the students in the prevailing situation.There is 500 bedded teaching hospital attached to MH Samorita Medical College.This Hospital is a well equipped hospital delivering both general and specialized services including ICU, Cath Lab, CT Scan, CCU, NICU, HDU & Dialysis unit.

MBBS in Bangladesh follows the national curriculum of the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC): 5 years of study plus a 1-year compulsory internship, taught in English. Professional examinations are held at the end of each phase.

  • Phase 1 (1.5 years): Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry
  • Phase 2 (1 year): Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology
  • Phase 3 (1 year): Community Medicine & Public Health, Pathology, Microbiology
  • Phase 4 (1.5 years): Medicine & allied subjects, Surgery & allied subjects, Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Internship (1 year): rotating clinical internship in the college hospital

The curriculum and disease patterns are close to India's, which helps with preparation for the Indian licensing exam (FMGE, and NExT when introduced).

  • NEET-UG: Indian students must qualify NEET-UG. The result is accepted for MBBS abroad for three years.
  • Class 12 marks: Physics, Chemistry and Biology, meeting the minimum marks/GPA set by Bangladesh for foreign students each session.
  • No separate entrance exam: foreign students apply directly to the college; admissions are approved by Bangladesh's Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME).
  • Documents: Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, NEET scorecard, passport, photographs.
  • Visa: student visa from the Bangladesh High Commission after the admission letter.
