Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT)
Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT) is a private autonomous engineering college at Gandipet on the western edge of Hyderabad, Telangana, affiliated to Osmania University. Founded in 1979, it is one of the oldest and most preferred private engineering colleges in Telangana's EAPCET counselling, on a large green campus near Osman Sagar. It offers B.E. and B.Tech programmes in computer science and its specialisations, IT, AI and data science, electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, chemical and biotechnology. Fees are fixed by the Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee. CBIT was in the 151-200 band of the NIRF 2025 Engineering ranking; its NIRF 2026 submission shows 901 of 1,413 graduates placed in 2024-25 at a median salary of INR 6 LPA.
