International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT Hyderabad)
IIIT Hyderabad is an autonomous, not-for-profit deemed university in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, set up in 1998 as a public-private partnership with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (now Telangana). Its compact residential campus of about 66 acres sits in Hyderabad's IT corridor. Unlike the government IIITs, it is privately run, and it is best known for research-led computer science, with strong groups in AI, machine learning, computer vision, language technologies and robotics. It was ranked 38 in the NIRF 2025 Engineering rankings despite a small intake, and its graduates report some of the highest median salaries among Indian engineering institutes. B.Tech admission is through JEE Main (own counselling, not JoSAA), its own UGEE exam for dual degrees, and special channels.
