BITS Pilani (Birla Institute of Technology and Science)
BITS Pilani is a private deemed university headquartered in Pilani, a small town in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, with further Indian campuses at Goa and Hyderabad and an international campus in Dubai. The Pilani campus, the original and largest, is a fully residential campus of several hundred acres known for its clock tower and Saraswati temple. BITS is widely regarded as one of India's top private engineering institutions and was ranked 11 in the NIRF 2025 Engineering rankings. Admission to first-degree programmes is purely through its own computer-based test, BITSAT, with no management or donation quota. Its practice school internship programme and large alumni network in industry and startups are notable features.

Official schedule is identical for Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses and for all B.E. branches. Semester tuition INR 2,91,500 (x2 semesters). Tuition escalates every year for the same batch: 2027-28 INR 3,06,000/sem, 2028-29 INR 3,21,500/sem, 2029-30 INR 3,37,500/sem. One-time admission fee INR 64,100 and caution deposit INR 3,000 (refundable). Summer term (optional) INR 1,02,000 tuition.
