- NEET-UG: Indian students must qualify NEET-UG. The result is accepted for MBBS abroad for three years.

- English: IELTS (usually 6.0 or higher) or an equivalent test may be required.
- Selection: application to the university, often with an interview.
- Documents: Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates, NEET scorecard, passport, photographs; the university arranges the student pass through EMGS.
Before paying, ask for in writing:
- Official offer/admission letter and itemised fee contract (tuition, hostel, insurance, registration, refund policy)
- Medium of instruction certificate covering all years, including clinical postings and internship
- WDOMS (World Directory of Medical Schools) listing
- Internship / clinical rotation details: NMC FMGL Regulations 2021 need at least 54 months of study plus a 12-month internship at the same foreign institution, in English, with the right to register/practise in that country
- Internship in Malaysia: NMC requires the 12-month internship in the same country and institution. Housemanship places in Malaysia are generally for Malaysian citizens, so confirm in writing how an Indian student will complete the internship before admission.
- Which campus or country each phase is taught in (some programmes include study outside Malaysia)
