Fees for BTech in Bangalore
Your fee depends on the route more than on the college. KCET government seats cost the least, COMEDK seats sit in the middle, and management-quota and university seats cost the most, often more for computer science branches. Each college page on this site shows the official fee table with the quota, branch and academic year.
Which branches are in demand?
Computer Science and its specialisations (AI and ML, Data Science, Cyber Security), Information Science and Electronics and Communication close first in KCET and COMEDK counselling. Mechanical, Civil and Electrical seats are easier to get at the same colleges and cost less in the university route.
Dates to plan for
KCET and COMEDK UGET applications usually open between January and March, exams are held in April and May, and counselling runs from July to September. Private university tests open earlier, often from November. Apply to more than one route to keep your options open.

Quotas and fees
- Government / CET quota: lowest fees, fixed by the state fee committee (for example KCET, MHT-CET CAP, TG EAPCET convener seats).
- Private / COMEDK / institute quota: higher fees set by the college or an approved body.
- Management and NRI quota: the highest fees, often branch-wise; NRI fees are usually quoted in US dollars.
- Scholarship slabs: many private universities (VIT, Amrita, LPU, Graphic Era, Chandigarh University) reduce tuition based on entrance rank or board marks.
How to read placement numbers
We show placement data from each institution's NIRF submission where available: graduates, students placed, students going for higher studies and the median salary. The median is a better guide than the "highest package" that colleges advertise.
